RIL Ghana Promotes Employees Well-being

Employees health and safety in relation to their wellbeing and mental health are very crucial in every organisation. Therefore, it is advisable to exercise in order to improve on your health and boost the immune system. We can simply define exercise as any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health and wellness.

There are several forms of exercising and one of the most popular exercise is walking (brisk). Walking can offer many health benefits to people of all ages and fitness levels. It may also help prevent certain diseases and even prolong your life. Walking provides essential benefits, including burning calories to help you lose or maintain your weight, walking helps you reduce your risk for coronary heart disease, lower your blood sugar and it boosts your immune system.

It is for this reason, Resource Intermediaries Ghana Limited embarked on a health walk for its employees in honour of the workers day celebration on May 2, 2022. As a People Management Organization, the welfare and well-being of their employees is very vital hence  Management put together this initiative to encourage healthy practices and well-being among its employees.

The Health Walk took place at the Aburi Mountain. The team walked from the Ayi Mensa tollbooth climbed the Mountain to Peduase Lodge and ended the walk at Aburi Botanical Gardens. At the Aburi Botanical gardens where the team of Resource Intermediaries Ghana Ltd gathered, they engaged in various activities. These activities included Aerobics, football, ludu, oware, scrabble, skipping and charades also known as “Pick & Act”.
